Homemade Apple Crash is a quick and easy dessert filled with a warm and cozy fall flavor.
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Make toppingsIn a medium bowl, mix 1 cup flour, ⅓ cup white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt and ginger together. Add cold butter and use a pastry cutter to cut into butter until the mixture starts to stick together and forms a large pea size of about 3 to 4 minutes. Keep the apples in the refrigerator.
Place the sliced apples in a 2QT baking dish and mix well with 1/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and cinnamon powder.
Sprinkle prepared crumbs over the apple mixture. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the gold and apples are soft.
Use warm or room temperature with vanilla ice cream if needed.
